Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy explains how T-ERP Technologies (Pty) Ltd uses cookies and similar technologies on our website at www.t-erp.co.za. We keep our cookie use minimal and transparent.

Effective Date: 10 April 2026Last Updated: 10 April 2026Version: 2.0

The Short Version

We use a small number of cookies on our website - primarily for analytics (Google Analytics 4) to understand how visitors use our site. We do not use advertising cookies, we do not sell your browsing data, and we do not track you across other websites. The T-ERP mobile applications do not use cookies at all.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile phone) when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work more efficiently and to provide information to website owners.

Cookies can be:

Session cookies

Temporary cookies that are deleted when you close your browser. They are used to maintain your session while you navigate a website.

Persistent cookies

Cookies that remain on your device for a set period of time or until you delete them. They are used to remember your preferences across visits.

First-party cookies

Cookies set directly by the website you are visiting (in this case, www.t-erp.co.za).

Third-party cookies

Cookies set by a domain other than the website you are visiting, typically by analytics or advertising services embedded in the page.

Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, and pixel tags. Where we refer to "cookies" in this policy, we include these similar technologies unless stated otherwise.

2. How We Use Cookies

T-ERP Technologies uses cookies on www.t-erp.co.za for the following purposes:

Website Analytics

Optional

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors interact with our website - which pages are most visited, how long visitors stay, where they come from, and what content is most useful. This helps us improve our website and content. Analytics data is anonymised and aggregated.

Essential Website Functionality

Strictly necessary

Some cookies are strictly necessary for the website to function correctly - for example, maintaining your session state when navigating between pages, or remembering form data you have entered. These cannot be disabled without breaking the website.

Performance and Optimisation

Optional

We may use cookies to measure website performance, identify errors, and optimise page load times. This data is used solely to improve the technical performance of our website.

3. Cookies We Use

The following table lists the specific cookies used on www.t-erp.co.za:

Cookieless Analytics Mode

We have configured Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymisation enabled and in cookieless mode where possible. This means your IP address is anonymised before being stored, and we minimise the personal data collected through analytics. We do not use analytics data to identify individual users.

4. Third-Party Cookies

Some cookies on our website are set by third-party services that we use. We have no direct control over these cookies, but we only use third-party services that we trust and that comply with applicable data protection laws.

Google Analytics 4

Website analytics and performance measurement

We use GA4 with IP anonymisation and cookieless mode. Data is processed by Google in accordance with their privacy policy.

What We Do NOT Use

T-ERP Technologies does not use:

  • Advertising or retargeting cookies
  • Social media tracking pixels
  • Cross-site tracking technologies
  • Cookies that profile you for marketing purposes
  • Any technology that sells your browsing data to third parties

5. Mobile App Local Storage

The T-ERP mobile applications (Driver App and Manager App) do not use cookies. However, the apps do use local device storage for the following purposes:

SQLite Database (Local)

Offline data caching - trip data, duty records, and operational information are stored locally on your device so the app works without an internet connection. This data is automatically synced to the server when connectivity is restored.

Retention: Cleared when the app is uninstalled or when the sync cycle completes

Secure Storage (Keychain / Keystore)

Authentication tokens and session credentials are stored in your device's secure hardware storage (Apple Keychain on iOS, Android Keystore on Android). This keeps your login secure.

Retention: Cleared when you log out or uninstall the app

App Preferences

User preferences such as notification settings, display preferences, and app configuration are stored locally.

Retention: Cleared when the app is uninstalled

Biometric Data (Device Secure Enclave)

If you enable biometric login, your fingerprint or face data is stored exclusively in your device's secure hardware (Apple Secure Enclave or Android Trusted Execution Environment). This data never leaves your device.

Retention: Cleared when you disable biometric login or uninstall the app

All local storage in the T-ERP mobile apps is encrypted on-device. You can clear all local app data by uninstalling the application.

6. Managing Your Cookie Preferences

You have several options for managing cookies:

6.1 Browser Settings

Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. You can typically:

  • View and delete existing cookies
  • Block all cookies from being set
  • Block third-party cookies only
  • Allow cookies from specific websites
  • Set your browser to notify you when a cookie is being set

Instructions for managing cookies in popular browsers:

6.2 Google Analytics Opt-Out

To opt out of Google Analytics tracking specifically, you can:

  • Install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on (available at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout)
  • Use your browser's private or incognito mode
  • Block the Google Analytics domain in your browser or ad blocker

6.3 Impact of Disabling Cookies

Disabling analytics cookies will not affect your ability to use the T-ERP website or access any content. Disabling strictly necessary cookies may affect the functionality of certain website features such as contact forms. The T-ERP platform itself (accessed via login) uses session-based authentication that requires cookies to function.

7. Do Not Track

Some browsers include a "Do Not Track" (DNT) feature that signals to websites that you do not want to be tracked. There is currently no universally accepted standard for how websites should respond to DNT signals.

T-ERP Technologies does not currently respond to DNT signals in a standardised way. However, we do not use advertising or cross-site tracking technologies regardless of your DNT setting. Our analytics use is limited to understanding how our own website is used, with IP anonymisation enabled.

8. Changes to This Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies we use or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. When we make changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.

We encourage you to review this Cookie Policy periodically to stay informed about how we use cookies. Your continued use of our website after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
